they got my folks thinkin' I'm not patriotic
they got my friends gone and dying for the Saudis

and we just sit here and watch the TV news
about Lindsay, China, and the fat cat blues...

it's so useless, yeah

they got ancient nations buried in the sand
blood and boots and oil since time began
they got fake elected leaders picking helpful users
so they can tune in and think of ways to abuse us

but who cares about the drowning man?
and who cares about the drowning land?
